Disposal Process

• Data sanitisation: Use certified wiping tools (DBAN, BitLocker wipe) or physical destruction for failed drives.
• Documentation: Record serial number, sanitisation method, date, and technician.
• Approval: Get sign-off from IT Head and Finance.
• Vendor: Use only CPCB-registered e-waste recyclers. Collect disposal certificate.
• Registry update: Mark asset as "Disposed" in your registry. Never delete.
